Pheasant Tail Nymph

Printer-friendly versionSend by emailPDF version

This is a simple but very effective example of a pheasant tail nymph. The tail fibers are counter wrapped with wire to give it a little flash and to protect it from rough treatment by the local trout population. Good in smaller rivers and streams, presented with a dead drift. Also good as a dropper used with a high floating dry fly. Sizes #12,#14.
